Two spaceships streaked across the Mobian skies. They were blue and white in color, and they resembled futuristic jet fighters, although with a more streamlined appearance. These fighters were called Arwings, and they were two of only eight remaining. (Four are at the Cornerian Army hangar, one belonged to a Wolf O'Donnell, and the other belonged to one Krystal of Sauria)
These particular Arwings belonged to the once proud mercenary team known to the galaxy as Star Fox. Once led by James McCloud, they were the outfit that defeated the evil Venomian scientist Andross twice. I say once proud because not only did they lose their mothership, the Great Fox, they also lost three members of the team. Now, the only two members of Star Fox were Fox McCloud, the son of James McCloud, and Falco Lombardi, Fox's best friend and an ace pilot in his own right. But all that was about to change. At least, I think.
"Fox, you can't be serious. You mean to tell me one of your cousins lives here? OUTSIDE THE LYLAT SYSTEM?" Falco, known for his slight rudeness as much as his piloting skills, asked his best friend, to which Fox responded: "Yup. I just found that out a few days ago. He's a mechanical genius, much like Slippy was."
"Great. There's two of 'em. I just hope he's a better pilot."
"I certainly hope so. I don't want to find out that my cousin's about as good a pilot as Slippy, or even Pigma." Fox shuddered at the mere mention of Pigma Dengar's name. Pigma was the one who betrayed the original Star Fox team, and yes, he's a bad pilot, worse than the Star Fox team's original head mechanic Slippy Toad, who died at the hands of a mysterious villain.
On the way to their destination, however, something shot Fox's Arwing. Be it a cannon, a sniper rifle, even the Air Ride machine Dragoon, but any way you slice it, that Arwing was damaged, and it was going down.
"FOX! You okay?" Falco asked his best friend, to which he replied, "I'm hit! I'm going to try to land this thing."
"I certainly hope you don't crash."
"I'm going DOOOWWWNNNNN!"
Fox's Arwing touched down, coincidentally, near the beaches of Emerald Coast. Which brings us to the other perspective....
